XIAMEN, China, Sept 8 - China's economy is in good shape and is responding as expected to the government's macro controls, Vice-Premier Wang Qishan said on Monday.
Wang, who has overall responsibility for economic and financial affairs, told an investment forum that China was very confident about its ability to sustain stable growth and rein in inflation.
He said that Beijing continued to welcome foreign direct investment and would take further measures to promote the venture capital industry.
